Great post, thank you for sharing. The way you describe fear and anxiety really resonates with me. And this point I think is really important: "Fear, anxiety and autistic overload are incredibly hard things to understand. Am I facing something I will overcome and be empowered by or am I facing something I can't overcome because its actually sensory based or am I facing something that will properly kill me and I should be listening to my senses?"

I've just recently been diagnosed as autistic in my middle age, and have long been diagnosed with severe anxiety. I'm just now starting to explore this line between anxiety and other autism characteristics. Is what I'm feeling because I'm having sensory overload and not because I'm actually worried about it? There is so much to explore there.
